Bed and Breakfast in Cornwall

Mike and Pat Beetham have over 30 years experience in the Hospitality Trade, particularly in Cornish B&B accommodation.

Back in the early ‘eighties we created a Country House Hotel on Dartmoor in an old Manor House. Mike cooking, Pat housekeeping and our two boys “front of house”.

In 1989 we sold this successful little business and bought Trewhiddle Country Club in St Austell Cornwall. Over the next 18 years we built this establishment into a thriving eating Public House, Trewhiddle Inn, well known for its food and Cornish atmosphere both with locals and Holiday makers alike.

We sold up and “retired” in 2007 and rebuilt The Anchorage, always with B&B in mind.

The Anchorage B&B

The Anchorage Bed and Breakfast was built in 2008, on the footprint of an existing bungalow. It is timber framed and insulated to the best standard available, and with under floor heating throughout, this is always a warm house.

We are 100% smoke free and Pet free.

We have two driveways and ample off road parking.

We have a free Wi-Fi signal through the property.

Every bedroom is fully carpeted, with built in wardrobes, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and a TV with Multi Free view Channels incorporating a DVD Player.

Every en-suite bathroom is fully tiled, floor and walls. The walk in showers have large “rainwater “ heads and hand scrubbers. A large heated towel rail adds to that extra comfort.

We have a separate “Garden Lounge” with a large TV, DVD and VHS player. Incorporating a kitchen with a wood fired “Pizza Oven”, and shower/toilet room.

We provide a full cooked “Cornish Breakfast”, using as much fresh local produce as we can obtain. Alternatively we can provide a non-meat Breakfast using local smoked fish, or just fruits and cereals homemade preserves and local Artisan breads.

The “He was Inn” local pub is just a couple of minutes walk down the road.
